Currently Dec-Tam is looking to fill the following roles in our organization:

Selective Demolition – Estimator/Project Manager

Dec-Tam has an immediate opening for an experienced Selective Demolition Estimator/Project Manager. Must be experienced in selective demolition, interior guts, tenant retrofit, concrete saw cutting, plant decommissioning, and debris disposal. Requires experience in working with customers to avoid disruption of building activities and systems. Individual must be capable of managing projects and directing employees in the use of tools and proper techniques. Must be comfortable using excel spreadsheets. Experience in the environmental/asbestos abatement industry and in using estimating take-off software is preferred. Individual will work with other specialty estimators and project managers. Some travel in New England area is required.

The Project Manager ensures quality performance of field work and adds value to projects by increasing the efficiency and solving problems. This position may include occasional lifting up to 50lbs. Typical duties include:

  • Review overall scheduling in morning and at end of day.
  • Review stock lists and specs. in advance to anticipate special needs.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems.
  • Monitor and manage assigned projects to completion.
  • Develop foremen to full potential, focusing on compliance, leadership, organization, paperwork and communication.
  • Prepare payroll documents.
  • Document project activities on Daily Report forms.
  • Obtain and document personal air samples.
  • Coordinate switch-out of dumpsters.
  • Order materials and supplies for delivery to the job-site.
  • Purchase supplies for delivery to the job site.
  • Perform “Tool-Box Talks”.
  • Coordinate with Sub-Contractors.
  • Review documentation required by applicable regulations.
  • Act as a Dec-Tam representative and liaison on project sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Dec-Tam has an immediate opening for an experienced Asbestos Supervisor. Individual must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience. Individuals with equipment operation skills (bobcat, forklift, blastrac, torch cutting) and Hazwoper training preferred. The Asbestos Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities of Field Workers and for supervising all aspects of environmental and demolition projects at customer job-sites, throughout New England. The Asbestos Supervisor must be licensed and must have sufficient practical hands-on experience to understand and be able to perform all aspects of the projects which he/she supervises. The Asbestos Supervisor must be present at the job-site during all hours of on-site project work, and is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance. The Asbestos Supervisor must interact with customer contacts, Industrial Hygienists, regulators and Sales-Estimators. Excellent pay and benefits.
